LOWVILLE, NY — The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office released the following statement on Thursday afternoon, June 30, 2022:
“The Lewis Count Sheriff’s Office investigated a fatal motor vehicle accident late Wednesday night, June 29, in the town of Watson.
Deputies report that a 2010 Ford F-150 operated by Richard A. Buske, 66, Cape Vincent, was traveling eastbound on the North Chases Lake Road at about 9:18 p.m. when the vehicle failed to negotiate a left hand curve in the roadway. The vehicle exited the roadway, striking a parked trailer that was located off the roadway. Buske was transported to the emergency room at Lewis County General Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation into this accident is on going. Deputies were assisted on scene by the Lowville Fire Department, Lewis County Search and Rescue, New York State Police and Monnat’s Towing.”
