Deputies: CNY man’s BAC was 0.25% after traffic stop in town of Watertown

WATERTOWN, NY —  Paul D. Baltzersen, 50, of 3318 Apulia Road, Jamesville, NY, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies at 8:37 a.m. Monday, Dec. 14, at County Route 155 and Watertown Center Loop Road in the town of Watertown with aggravated driving while intoxicated and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a felony.

His blood alcohol content was 0.25 percent, deputies said. A BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI, which carries harsher penalties upon conviction, is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or greater.

He is summoned to appear Jan. 14 in town of Watertown Court.
