Deputies: Watertown woman’s BAC was 0.39% during traffic stop

WATERTOWN, NY —  Michelle R. Ricks, 46, of 415 Gotham St., Apt. 6, Watertown, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies at 3:44 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, in the 100 block of Arsenal Street in Watertown with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a felony, aggravated driving while intoxicated, inadequate brake lamp, unregistered motor vehicle, no insurance, no inspection, and driving without a license.

Her blood alcohol content was 0.39 percent, deputies said.

A BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI, which carries harsher penalties upon conviction, is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or greater.

She awaits prosecution in City Court.
