WATERTOWN, NY — Douglas A. Welbourn, Sr., 67, Watertown, passed away Thursday, March 28, at his residence.
Born Jan. 23, 1952. in Watertown, a son of Floyd T. and Mary F. (Hudson) Welbourn, he was educated in the Watertown School District. Following his education, he enlisted with the United States Marine Corps serving in Vietnam. He was discharged in October 1970.
Douglas worked as a cab driver at several local cab companies. He was also previously employed by Jefferson County and Chapin Living Waters.
Douglas was a member of Watertown’s First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his children, Douglas A. Jr. of Adams, Tarah and Mark Eastman of Adams, Megan and Robert Durst of Virginia, Alissa and Justin Waite of Adams; his siblings, Mary A. and Terry Macadam, William and Darlene Welbourn; seven grandchildren; two nieces, and two great-nephews.
Besides his parents, Douglas was predeceased by a son, Samuel, and his step-father, Chauncey Lambert.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of his family.
Burial will follow the service in Brookside Cemetery.
