WATERTOWN, NY —Â On 09/30/22, members of the Metro-Jeff Drug Task Force conducted a drug investigation in the City of Watertown. A search warrant was obtained and executed at 930 Academy St., Watertown, NY.
Upon entry the residence was found to be occupied by 4 adult males, 1 adult female, and 2 juvenile males. All were secured without incident. A search of the residence yielded approximately 12 grams of suspected crack cocaine, a small quantity of suspected methamphetamine, a digital scale, several items of drug paraphernalia, and $1,152.00 in US currency.
As a result, the following persons were arrested:
Demartres T. Grant (age 30) 930 Academy St., Watertown, NY, was charged with 1 count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree. Mr. Grant was arraigned in CAP court by the Honorable Justice Parks and was held without bail based on his prior criminal history.
Chad M. Bartlett (age 30) 530 Franklin St., apartment 2, Watertown, NY, was charged with 1 count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree. Mr. Bartlett was arraigned in CAP court by the Honorable Justice Parks and held without bail based on his prior criminal history.
Laquandrae J. Poledore (age 22) 930 Academy St., Watertown, NY, was charged with 1 count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree. Mr. Poledore was arraigned in CAP Court by the Honorable Justice Parks and held without bail based on his prior criminal history.
Sheila L. Laverghetta (age 30) 654 Emerson St., Watertown, NY, was charged with 1 count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree. Ms. Laverghetta was arraigned in CAP Court by the Honorable Justice Parks and was ROR’d.
The Metro-Jeff Drug Task Force was assisted by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s
Office, the Watertown Police ID and Canine units, the Watertown Police SRT unit, and the Jefferson County Sheriff Office’s SERT unit.
This is an on-going investigation. Additional arrests and charges are pending.
