OGDENSBURG, NY — Elizabeth “Liz” Barton Ward, 84, of Midlothian, VA, joined her heavenly family on July 4, 2018.
She was born in Nov. 26, 1933, in Ogdensburg, NY, the daughter of Ralph and Edith Barton.
She was preceded in death by her much beloved husband, Lawrence C. Ward.
Liz was a registered nurse for 37 years, working in New York, Montreal and Virginia.
She is survived by two daughters, Shari Humphreys and her husband, David and Sandy Shifflette; three grandchildren, Aaron Humphreys and his wife, Megan, Christopher Shifflette and his wife, Jenn and Sarah Shifflette; one great-grandchild, Hazel Shifflette; two brothers, Edwin Barton and Steve Barton and his wife, Nancy; several nieces and nephews; and loving family, Lena Cozad, Andrew Humphreys and Lori Glass.
Liz was an avid gardener and loved animals.
