Employee-owned KPH Healthcare Services increases hourly workers’ wages during coronavirus crisis

GOUVERNEUR, NY – Through the below letter, David Warner, R.Ph., President & CEO of KPH Healthcare Services, Inc., (a 100% employee-owned company that includes Kinney Drugs, ProAct Pharmacy Benefits Management, HealthDirect Pharmacy Services, and Noble Health Services) announced a wage increase of $2 per hour for its 3,252 hourly employees during the coronavirus crisis:

Good afternoon, everyone.
I hope that you and your families are safe and staying healthy in the face of this unprecedented healthcare crisis. I wanted to take a moment and thank each and every one of you for your continued support and unwavering commitment to each other as employee owners, to our customers and to the communities that we serve throughout our organization. It has been incredibly humbling to see both personally, and in hearing from your leadership teams, how committed and invested our employee owners have been in ensuring that in the face of chaos, we have remained focused on our role as an “Essential Healthcare Provider”. Your resolve has remained constant and is an inspiration to our organization.

We are in this… together. The only way we will get through this is… together. The history of our organization runs deep and so does the spirit and perseverance of our people. We will take things day by day and navigate the situation with you and your families at the center of every decision we make as an organization.

In response to your efforts and as a measure of support for our hourly employee owners, we will be instituting an hourly wage increase of $2 per hour effective 3/20/2020. Currently, this temporary increase is planned through the end of April, at which time we will reassess as conditions warrant. The pressure and stress associated with these disruptive times for you and your families, is something
your KPH Healthcare Services family would like to support you through.
