WATERTOWN, NY — Ethel Clement “GG” Gundersen, 93, Watertown, passed away Thursday, Feb. 28, 2019, at Samaritan Summit Village.
A celebration of her life will be at her family’s convenience. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are entrusted with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown.
GG was born Feb. 4, 1926, in Edwards, a daughter of Joseph and Ida Myers Clement. A marriage to Arthur Jones ended in divorce. She then married Donald Gundersen on Oct. 13, 1964, in Watertown and he passed on June 5, 1997.
Her passions were bowling, golfing, and dancing.
She is survived by her three sons, Dennis A. (Paulette) Jones, Somersett, MA, Steven W. (Trena) Jones, Clayton, and Donald Gundersen, Brownville; three daughters, Patricia J. (Edward) Blackford, Adams, Laurie (Mike) Delaney, Memphis, TN, and Claudia (Lloyd) Bowser, Watertown; 16 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; a sister, Idabell Ashbocker, LaFargeville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
GG was predeceased by her five brothers, Lawrence, Richard, Floyd, Elwood, and Earnest Clement, and three sisters, Emma Finely, Olive Clement, and Mable Horne.
