EVANS MILLS, NY —Â On Oct. 3, 2020, at approximately 3:24 P.M., the New York State Police responded to a Vehicle/ATV fatal collision on Elm Ridge Road in the town of Leray.
A 2021 Kia Telluride, operated by Christopher B. Dickinson, age 28, from Evans Mills, NY, was traveling north on Elm Ridge Road when a 2006 Yamaha ATV operated by Jon A. Laclair, age 33, from Evans Mills, NY, was traveling south on Elm Ridge Road crossed over into the northbound lane of travel.
The ATV struck the driver’s side rear quarter panel of the 2021 Kia, causing Mr. Laclair to be ejected.
Mr. Laclair was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene.
No criminal charges are pending at this time.
