NEDROW, NY — State Police in Lafayette is investigating a fatal tractor-trailer rollover crash that occurred on Interstate 81 in the town of Onondaga.
The accident investigation has revealed that at approximately 7:17 a.m., Talwinder Singh was operating a 2016 Volvo tractor-trailer northbound on I-81, in the driving lane, when the vehicle entered the passing lane, struck a guide rail off of the west shoulder of the roadway and a cement bridge abutment.
The vehicle continued along the abutment and then struck the Rt 11 bridge overpass guardrail causing the tractor-trailer to roll over onto State Route 11 below.
The driver and sole occupant, Talwinder Singh, age 36 from Amherst, NY was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The investigation is continuing.
