Fire destroys attached garage at town of Brownville home

BROWNVILLE — An attached garage was destroyed by fire Sunday morning at a town of Brownville residence.

Town of Brownville firefighters at about 3:44 a.m. responded to the report of an attached garage fire at 24953 Mullin Road, and requested mutual aid from the Glen Park, Chaumont, Three Mile Bay and Sackets Harbor fire departments.

All occupants safely evacuated the home prior to firefighters arriving on scene, according to a deputy.

The 2-story colonial residence was built in 2020 and is owned by Chad M. King and Rachel E. King, according to Jefferson County property records.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
