At 1443 hours on this date City of Watertown Fire units were dispatched to 405 Stone St. for a building fire. First companies arrived within one minute of dispatch to find a fire on the second floor of a 2 ½ story duplex. Companies quickly extinguished the fire and contained the fire to the room of origin. Damage was confined to the second floor apartment. Tenants of the other unit were able to re-occupy their apartment at the conclusion of the incident.
No injuries were reported.
Red Cross assisted the tenant of the fire apartment.
WFD was assisted at the scene by Guilfoyle, WPD, National Grid and City code
enforcement.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation by WFD and Watertown PD
