Fredrick A. Marsh, 84, Watertown

WATERTOWN, NY — Fredrick A. Marsh passed away July 6, 2019, at his son’s home, which he built from the ground up in 1959, with his family by his side. Fredrick was 84 years old.

Born Aug. 23, 1934, in Watertown, NY, the son of the late William and Eva Eveleigh Marsh, he graduated in 1952 from Adams Center School.

Fredrick worked as a glacier with Pittsburgh Paint Glass and retired from Northern Glass. Of the many personal and professional projects that he was involved with, installing the windows in the State Office Building in Watertown was one he was particularly proud of.

Raising his children, working on vehicles, and remodeling filled most of his days.

Fred was a great many with many talents who understood the value of hard work, he was also a very caring man who loved everyone.

He leaves behind a son, Daniel (Sheri) Marsh, Watertown; a daughter, Sandra (Thomas) Radley Chaumont; grandchildren, Ricky (Kristin) Best, Dexter, Derek Best, Watertown, Joshua Marsh Oswego, Jacob Marsh, Fulton, Emmy Newell Dexter, Nicolas Marsh (Gennha) Chaffee, Watertown; four great-grandchildren, Ayden, Cameron, Amore, and Rowen; a sister, Sylvia Gould, Wisconsin; nieces and nephews.

A marriage to Barbara Blair, with whom he had two children, ended in divorce.

He was preceded by his wife Mary Johnson Marsh in 2005.

Arrangements made at Johnson Funeral home. A celebration of life will be held at the Dexter American Legion on Sunday,July 14 from 1-5. There will be no calling hours.
