WATERTOWN, NY — Gary E. Miller, 73, of 522 F. Kieff Drive, Watertown, passed away Friday night, April 19, 2019, at Samaritan Medical Center.
Born Sept. 20, 1945, in Watertown, NY, a son of the late Edward H. and Catherine (Putnam) Miller, he attended Watertown High School.Â
He worked as a contractor, specializing in roofing, siding and sheet metal until his retirement.
He married Elsie M. Shaw on May 21, 1971, in Watertown, NY. Elsie passed away on Aug. 19, 1995.
He later married Kay Roberts on Oct. 2, 1999.
He loved hunting, fishing and classic cars.
He is survived by four children, Michele (Steven) Lauber of Lavaca, AR; Catherine (Kenneth) Eisenhauer of Carthage, NY; Rebecca Williams of Carthage, NY; and Vicki Edwards of Clarksville, TN; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by sisters, Sonya Perkins of Chaumont, NY and Cathy Zimmer of Evans Mills, NY; and two brothers, Edward Miller and Roma Miller, both of Adams Center, NY.Â
He was predeceased by a grandson, Kyle Shaw, who died on March 29, 2019; three sisters, June Jeffers, Loretta Averill, and Marie Madill; and a brother, Robert Miller.
Calling hours will be held 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage. A funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel at 7 p.m. with Rev. Canon Samuel P. Lundy officiating.Â
