GIS training sessions scheduled

WATERTOWN, NY — How can you use a Geographic Information System (GIS) to make your job easier? How can you access more information? What are the benefits of using GIS?

Those interested in learning how to use the Development Authority of the North Country’s GIS Internet Mapping Application (IMA) will have the opportunity to attend training sessions in May, specifically for that purpose. The sessions are particularly pertinent to municipal officials and staff who use the IMA in the course of their work, but they are open to the public.

Space is limited, so those interested in attending should RSVP to scarter@danc.org, indicating which session they wish to attend and the number of attendees. Participants are welcome to bring a computer or tablet with them.
