Gordon S. Hoselton, 58, Brownville

BROWNVILLE, NY — Gordon S. Hoselton, 58, of Brown Boulevard, Brownville, passed away unexpectedly June 24 at his home.

Born Oct. 10, 1958, in Watertown, the son of Gordon and Mary Johns Hoselton Sr., he was a graduate of General Brown High School and Potsdam State College with a degree in Cartography.

Gordon was hired right after college by the Department of Defense in Washington DC where he worked for several years until his health caused him to retire early.  He returned to Brownville to live with his mother.

Gordon was accomplished player of classical music on the piano and later played organ at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Brownville for a short time.

He is survived by his mother Mary Hoselton and two nephews Eric and Danelle Hoselton of Watertown, John and Nicole Hoselton of Dexter and a niece Kerri and Shannon Hoselton of Auburn.

He was predeceased by his brother W. John Hoselton in 2016 and his father Gordon Sr. in 1968.

Funeral services will be noon Monday, July 2, at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter.  Calling hours will be one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Brownville Cemetery.
