Harold M. Thompson, 57, Lowville

LOWVILLE, NY – Harold M. “Mickey” Thompson, 57, of Snell Road, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2019 at his home.

A funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 201, at Iseneker Funeral Home with Pastor James Trainham, officiating. A gathering will immediately follow the funeral at a place to be announced. Burial will be held privately by the family. Calling hours are from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2019, at Iseneker Funeral  Home, Inc., 5702 Waters Road, Lowville.

He is survived by his mother, Etta “Jean” Thompson of Watertown; his siblings, Lawrence D. Bowen; Dale and Karen Bowen of Copenhagen; Wanita and Al Noftsier of Beaver Falls;his step-children, Jeff Powis, Missy Zehr, and Sally Powis; several aunts, uncles, nieces; nephews and cousins. Mickey was especially close to his nephew Josh Bowen.

He was predeceased by his father, Harold L. Thompson, and a nephew, Jason Noftsier.

On July 10, 1982, he married Barbara Sheldon, which ended in divorce.  Mickey later married Patricia Werley on March 11, 1996, and was with her for the rest of his life.

Mickey was born on July 6, 1962 in Watertown, NY, a son of the late Harold L. Thompson; and Etta “Jean” Morse Thompson.  He attended Beaver River Central School and worked on area farms.  He also worked in the woods with his brother, Dale, before going to work for Lyndaker Excavating for 12 years.  In 2002 he became the owner/operator of T & T Trucking, Lowville, which was a major supplier, hauling thousands of loads of pulpwood to Finch & Pryun in Glens Falls, NY, and area mills.

Mickey enjoyed his trucks, driving them or working on them, riding his motorcycle, and his cats and dogs.
