LAFARGEVILLE, NY — Harry N. Ellis, 73, of County Route 3, LaFargeville, passed away, Friday, April 26, 2019, at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center, Ogdensburg, NY.
Born Sept. 17, 1945, in Philadelphia, NY, a son of James F. and Dorothy M. Diehl Ellis, he attended local schools.
Harry married Minnie Savage on July 26, 1966. She passed away June 6, 1997. Then he married Betty Jo Savage on Jan. 9, 1999, in Redwood, NY.
He worked as a farmhand for Ronald Cole Farm, Redwood, NY, and Norris Handschuh Farm, Redwood, NY. He also worked at the Oscar Mayer Plant in CA for a time. He retired due to ill health and had been a patient at the Agarwal Renal Center in Ogdensburg, NY, since 2005.
Harry enjoyed search a word games, playing cards, board games, WWE wrestling, hunting, fishing, being in the outdoors, having coffee with the neighbors and he was an avid reader of James Patterson novels.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Betty Jo; a daughter and son-in-law, Regina R. and Harold Brow, Watertown, NY; two grandchildren, Ava Rose Brow and Nathan Keith Brow; a sister, Shirley Stephens, Watertown, NY; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
His parents, his first wife, Minnie, two brothers, James F. Ellis, Jr. and Charles F. Ellis, and a sister, Joyce Taylor, all died previously.
There will be no funeral or calling hours.
