Haunted Houses creates all-new experience

CICERO, NY  – The CMC Haunted House, a long-standing Halloween season tradition and the 2019 bronze medal winner awarded by ScaryCuse.com, is set to operate under COVID-19 procedures and restrictions in an effort to bring a sense of haunted normalcy to fear seeking visitors.

The 2020 edition of the CMC Haunted House – “Masks Required” – premiers  Friday, Oct. 9 through Friday, Oct. 30 starting at 7:00 p.m. until the last visitor is scared. The operation of the Haunted House will occur under the New York State Reopening Guidelines specific to “low risk indoor arts & entertainment” – see attached House procedures and guidelines. In addition, the Haunted House will once again be conducted rain or shine and visitors are encouraged to dress for the weather.

Through the years, the House has seen several thousand visitors pass through the doors of the “creepy” old barns on the grounds of the CMC Dance Company located at 6092 Route 31, Cicero, just east of CNS High School.

As one of the few haunts operating in Central New York in 2020, CMC promises to uphold its reputation as one of the scariest Haunted Houses around!  In the past year, the House underwent extensive improvements that included an all-new layout, an upgraded audio system, camera system, new props, and special effects to enhance your haunting experience while ensuring the safety and security of our patrons.

With all of the new improvements, CMC Haunted House now offers two (2) haunted trail experiences – each including a barn and outdoor trail.

Tickets are now on sale at www.cmchaunts.com or can be purchased in-person each night beginning at 6:00 p.m. Advance purchase is highly suggested, and preferred, due to new COVID-19 restrictions. Admission for all ages will be $13 for one (1) trail or $20 for both trails. An R.I.P. admission (VIP status) is available for $25 and provides no wait entry. Group discounts are also available for 10 or more people and must be booked in advance by calling 315-699-2355.

For those faint of heart, a no-scare option is available.

In addition to the scare experience, visitors will enjoy our nightly bonfire and outdoor movie, food/snack options, photo opportunities, and more.
