Hospice of Jefferson County announces new chief executive pfficer

WATERTOWN, NY  – Hospice of Jefferson County announces the appointment of
Anna Patterson as its new Chief Executive Officer. Ms. Patterson who is the Executive Director of Ives Hill Retirement Community and the Lodge at Ives Hill brings a wealth of experience to the role. This leadership change follows the announcement by Diana Woodhouse of her retirement commencing summer 2023. The Hospice Boards expressed their appreciation for Ms. Woodhouse’s efforts and extraordinary service to Hospice since her appointment in 2012. Ms. Patterson will join Hospice the beginning of August 2023.

During her tenure, she strove to make services more accessible to our community and successfully led a team of highly skilled staff and volunteers to achieve the best in end-of-life care and award-winning levels of customer satisfaction. The Board of Directors is confident that Anna Patterson will ably take up the reigns and continue Hospice of Jefferson County’s service to our community at the highest possible levels,” said Maureen Cean, President of Hospice Board.

“Diana Woodhouse has built a legacy of excellence, sustainable growth, and caring during her tenure at Hospice of Jefferson County. I have truly enjoyed working with Diana during my time on the Hospice Foundation Board of Directors, and even more so during the past year as Board President. She will be sorely missed, but we are thrilled with her capable and worthy successor, Anna Patterson, who will carry us forward into the next stage of Hospice’s care for the people of the North Country and Jefferson County,” said Emily Sprague, President of Hospice Foundation Board.

“I am so happy that Anna will be the next CEO at Hospice. I am confident that she has the caring and competent leadership needed to fulfill our mission and to lead Hospice into the future,” said Diana Woodhouse, CEO of Hospice of Jefferson County.

Anna Patterson expressed her delight in joining the Hospice team and said, “I am extremely excited for this opportunity to fill the role as Chief Executive Officer and am honored to become a part of the Hospice team. I have always deeply respected the work of Hospice and, I plan to continue its mission of providing care and support to the patients and families of Hospice and to the community as a whole. I would like to wish Diana well in her retirement.”
