MANNSVILLE, NY — Ian M. Dudley, 27, Mannsville, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at his home after a long struggle with addiction.
A memorial service will be held 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 3-6 pm at the funeral home. We are asking that you adhere to the social distancing guidelines that are in place.
Ian was born April 7, 1993, in Watertown, NY, a son to Chad and Rhonda Seymour Dudley. He graduated from South Jefferson Central School in 2011 and was currently attending SUNY Empire expecting to graduate in 2021 with a degree in History and Human Services.
At the time of his passing Ian found great pleasure working for Grindstone Farms, Pulaski. He enjoyed being outdoors, working in the garden and hiking. He had a strong passion for music and playing his guitar. Ian also enjoyed researching local history; a favorite being The Battle of Big Sandy Creek. He would spend hours at the Mannsville Historical Society “steeping” in old maps and documents
He is survived by his parents, Chad and Rhonda, Mannsville; a brother, Shane (Chelsey Patch), Adams; maternal grandparents, David and Cynthia Seymour, Watertown; aunts, Alyssa (Terry) Evans, Watertown; Keri (Don) Ruby, Texas; Jennifer (Kyle) Bower, PennYan; Melanie (Bill) Pape, Wisconsin; and several cousins.
Ian was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Vernon and Beverly Dudley, his aunt, Stephanie Griffin and cousin Gage Griffin.
