WEBINAR: 10am Tuesday for restaurants, hospitality and tourism businesses

WATERTOWN – Jefferson County Economic Development is hosting a free webinar series aimed at helping the hospitality and tourism industry get back on their feet in response to the COVID-19 crisis.

These webinars will include ideas on how best to work within the regulations while still providing a memorable experience for your customers and strong revenue for your business. There will be a chance to brainstorm ideas as well as a question and answer period.

Julie Purpura, an experienced professional in the food and craft beverage industry who also holds degrees in Hospitality and Service Management, will discuss ways to keep your doors open and customers coming through them using micro-events to create a fun, authentic and safe environment. Julie will share information on these smaller and more frequent events that can differentiate businesses, encourage local clientele to come to your business, and help offset losses from cancellation of your larger events.

Jefferson County Economic Development continues to help businesses work their way through these unprecedented times.

“Obviously, we want to time our resource offerings to businesses associated with their Phase schedule. While many of the essential businesses have been open and doing the best they can these last couple months, right now with many hospitality and tourism businesses beginning to open we want to be proactive in assisting those businesses. If you have a restaurant, tourism business or any business within the hospitality sector, even businesses that do event marketing for fund raising such as non-profits, there will be value in joining this free webinar. ” said Marshall Weir, Director of Marketing at Jefferson County Economic
Development.

This is the first of an expected three webinars for the hospitality and tourism businesses.

Following webinars will have additional information and ideas for maximizing revenue and keeping your business on strong footing moving forward.
