John F. Cheseldine, 60, Watertown

WATERTOWN, NY — Calling hours for John F. Cheseldine will be 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, June 27, at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home. There is no funeral service planned at this time. Burial will take place at a later date convenient to his family.

John passed away Thursday, June 20, at his residence. He was 60 years old.

Born Aug. 30, 1958, in Washington, DC, a son to Bob and Mildred “Midge” (Burnash) Cheseldine, he was educated locally and worked at Rutland Hills Dairy on Washington Street for several years.

John enjoyed western movies, John Wayne, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Elton John, and a cold Pabst Blue Ribbon. He also always had a handkerchief.

He is survived by his daughters, Melissa and Shawn Ryan of Watertown, Kristin and Chad Weaver of Watertown; his grandchildren, Logan, Ryan, Braydon, Lynnsie, Skylar, Gaven, Abby; his siblings, Carl (Nancy) Clemonts of Maryland, Robert (Nora) Cheseldine of California; a companion of many years, Rena Gebo, and her children, Nikki LaJoie, Christan Gebo, Janelle Gebo. He is also survived by a niece, Erin; a nephew, Robert; and a great-granddaughter, Everliegh.
