CASTORLAND, NY — Joyce Marie Brouty, 79, Mira Lane, Castorland, passed away on Friday, Nov. 20, 2020 at her home.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in Naumburg Union Cemetery.
Joyce was born on June 18, 1941, in Lowville, NY, a daughter of the late Jacob and Helen Schneider Bruckman, and attended Beaver River Central School.
On Sept. 29, 1962, she married Richard Brouty.
Richard passed away in 1994.
Joyce worked at Beaverite in Croghan and Beaver Falls; Fort Drum as a cleaner; she went back to Beaverite in Croghan and Beaver Falls, Walmart in Lowville, Dollar General in Lowville and Croghan.
She enjoyed hunting years ago with her husband and her father-in-law.
She loved puzzles, game shows and watching MASH.
She is survived by two children Lisa (Edwin) Barker of Theresa; Dale Brouty of Castorland; five grandchildren, Sebastian (Sarah), Zachary, Jennifer, Noah and Abigayle; and a great grand-daughter, Allison; a sister Helen (Larry ) Brouty of Croghan; nieces, nephews, cousins; and her husband’s family.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard; a son, Kenneth Richard Brouty; her twin brother, John Bruckman; two sisters, Shirley Branagan, and Mary Martin.
