LAFARGEVILLE, NY —Â Joyce E. Papin, 89, of County Route 3, LaFargeville, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2021, at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, where she was a patient for a few days. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
Born July 10, 1932, in the town of Orleans, the daughter of Fred and Ruby Garlock Baltz, she attended area schools.
On Aug. 17, 1954, she married Ray Papin, in Pennsylvania. Ray died Feb. 21, 2017, at age 92.
Joyce was a homemaker and worked beside her husband in the operation of the family farm for many years.
She really enjoyed cooking and gardening.
Surviving are four children, Peter (Joyce) of Redwood, Ted of LaFargeville, Dale Sr. of LaFargeville, and Rhonda Jones and her companion Justin Dalloday of Croghan; 14 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A son, John, two brothers, Harold and Stuart Baltz, all predeceased her.
