JRECK Subs bestows awards on local graduates for winning attitudes

WATERTOWN, NY  – JRECK Subs is pleased to announce the recipients of its 2022 JRECK Subs Winning Attitude awards. More than 20 recent high school graduates throughout Jefferson and Lewis Counties are being recognized for demonstrating a positive attitude inside and outside of the classroom.

The program, which now includes a monetary award of up to $500, was started 19 years ago by local JRECK Subs franchisee, Sally Rice. Participating high school faculty and administrators are asked to identify graduating seniors who may not qualify for academic or athletic scholarships but work hard and exhibit a cheerful and optimistic demeanor in the face of life’s challenges. To date, JRECK Subs has awarded nearly $70,000 to local graduates.

“It’s important to acknowledge and reward students who continue to work diligently in school while bringing optimism, enthusiasm and dedication to everything they do, no matter what challenges come their way,” shared Rice, a JRECK Subs franchisee for nearly 40 years. “It’s also a chance to give something back to the communities in which we operate. We look forward to presenting these awards each year,” Rice added.

JRECK Subs is proud of its long-standing partnership with local school districts and administrators and credits its hard-working franchisees and staff for their leadership in supporting this program and other community endeavors. As the company looks toward expansion, JRECK Subs hopes to grow the awards program to benefit more students in the coming years.
