HENDERSON, NY — Judy A. Brooks, 68, Henderson, passed away Jan. 1, 2019, at the Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown.
Per her wishes, there will be no services.
Burial will be for the convenience of the family following cremation.
Born Sept. 8, 1950, in Henderson, a daughter to Lawrence and Bessie Woodard Maitland, she graduated from Henderson Central School and attended Jefferson Community College.
She married Robert Brooks in July 1980. He passed away Dec. 21, 2005.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Butch and Cathy Maitland, Watertown; her cousins, Sally Parker, AZ, Eunice (Lew) Westcott, Henderson Harbor and Kay (Keith) Hunter, Rochester; several nieces and nephews; and her longtime friend Jan Johnson, Adams Center.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Frank Ross.
Judy worked as a cook for many years for several restaurants in the area.
She enjoyed her cats, crossword puzzles and reading.
