Kay Ann Scott, 66, Cape Vincent

CAPE VINCENT, NY — On Monday, Aug. 26, 2019, Kay Ann Scott, loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away at home at the age of 66 in Cape Vincent, NY.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Cleveland Funeral Home, Cape Vincent.

Kay was born in Pine River, MN to the late June Jorgenson Fultz and Raymond A. Fultz on April 19, 1953. She graduated in 1971 from William Kelley High School.

She married Rob Scott in 1972 in Silver Bay, MN. The family moved around the country for work while they raised four children. She lived in Silver Bay, MN, Hazen, ND, Delta, UT and Port Orchard, WA before settling in Cape Vincent, NY in 1987.

Kay is survived by her husband Rob Scott, Cape Vincent, her children Sarah Scott (Charles Quinn), Randolph, MA, Ruth Scott, Watertown, NY, Neil Scott (Kelly Scott), Cape Vincent, NY, Emily Scott (Timothy Goodspeed), Hilton, NY and her brother Dennis Fultz, Silver Bay, MN. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren, Seth Scott (Victoria Knowlton), Albert Scott, Basil Scott, Alyssa Gubernick, Cole Scott, Blake Scott, Avonlea Scott, Jack Goodspeed, Quinn Goodspeed, Hazel Goodspeed and Wyatt Quinn. She leaves behind her loving dog, Buzz.

She took great pleasure in spending time with her children and grandchildren. Kay Ann was a gentle, kind and sweet soul, all who have met her truly adored her. She was a talented artist, an excellent cook, she loved animals, flowers and watching detective shows. She was a great mom and wonderful person who spent her life raising children and caring for her family.

There will be a private family gathering for her service. The family wishes to thank the Hospice nurses that cared for Kay during her last days. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to Hospice of Jefferson County, 1398 Gotham Street, Watertown, NY 13601.
