Kenneth J. Clinch, 56, Watertown

WATERTOWN, NY — Kenneth John “Ken” Clinch 56, of Reasoner Road, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019, at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, NY, due to complications of Huntington’s Disease.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Cleveland Funeral Home Inc., Watertown NY.

Ken was born March 8, 1963, to Keith F. and Shirley DeLong Clinch both whom have passed.

Ken faithfully served his country in the Army from 1980 to 1984 when he was honorably discharged.

Shortly after returning home he went to work for Parkview Cleaners where he stayed for more than 20 years before retiring for medical reasons.

Ken loved music and was a collector of Coca Cola memorabilia and he also had a coin collection. However, his greatest love was his family, especially after he met the love of his life, Joanne John in 1989. They have been together everyday since, hosting family and friends at their home over the years celebrating everything from birthdays, holidays, and perfect summer days. He will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne John, step-sons Ronnie (Vickie) John and Randy (Becky) John, both of Florida. His brothers; Dan (Wendy) Clinch of Cortland, NY., Tom (Sue) Clinch of Watertown, NY., sister; Renee Gessis Jolly (Ken Smith) of Tacoma, WA. Special sister-in-law Mickey Symonds who was very instrumental in helping to take care of Ken. Surviving also are many loved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

In addition to his parents, Ken was predeceased by a niece Erika Clinch in 2018.

At Ken’s request, his body was donated to Syracuse University for the advancement of science. It was also Ken’s wishes that there be no calling hours or services.
