GOUVERNEUR, NY  – The employee-owners of KPH Healthcare Services, Inc./Kinney Drugs invite the citizens of Gouverneur to a formal unveiling and dedication of a bronze plaque in honor of founder Burt O. Kinney, R.Ph., and his son Harold Kinney, R.Ph. The ceremony will be held at Kinney’s original store location and current downtown offices on East Main Street in Gouverneur Wednesday, September 14th at 2:30PM.

“In 2023, Kinney Drugs will celebrate our 120th year in business, so we wanted to do something special to recognize our founder’s legacy in Gouverneur,” said Dave Warner, R.Ph., President and CEO of KPH Healthcare Services. “Mr. Kinney changed the trajectory of this community – and so many others. He positively impacted civic and health organizations, generations of employees and their families, as well as the health and wellbeing of folks across New York and Vermont, and now across the entire country. Mr. Kinney was a humble, community-minded person, and we think it would please him that we remain headquartered right here in Gouverneur. We also believe he would be honored by this plaque, which will forever remind people of his and his son’s accomplishments and their legacy.”

Speakers will include KPH President & CEO Dave Warner, R.Ph., Kinney Drugs President John Marraffa, R.Ph., KPH EVP & Kinney Drugs Foundation President Dave McClure, and Gouverneur Mayor Ron MacDougall.
