WATERTOWN, NY — Mayor Joseph M. Butler, Jr., along with all the City of Watertown Council Members, Ryan J. Henry-Wilkinson, Cody J. Horbacz, Lisa A. Ruggiero and Mark C. Walczyk, will proudly rededicate the Lachenauer Plaza and Fountain on Friday, August 24, 2018, at 3:00 p.m.
The original Plaza was dedicated by former Mayor Theodore Rand to honor William G. Lachenauer, Mayor of Watertown from 1956 to 1963.
At this time, Mayor Butler would like to honor several members of the Lachenauer family who have proudly served in the Watertown Fire Department over the years by placing an additional plaque at the site. Those members are: George W. Lachenauer 1946-1979, Edward J. Lachenauer 1972-2003 and David M. Lachenauer 1985-2018.
