Lewis County: 769 in quarantine

LOWVILLE, NY —  As of today, there have been a total of 147 cases of COVID-19 in the county. The additional case is in isolation at home.

There are 57 cases associated with the religious gathering cluster.

With each confirmed case of COVID-19, Public Health staff investigate and identify close contacts and exposure risk. Those persons who have been in contact with the positive cases will be placed in quarantine and will be monitored for symptoms
and tested.

Recommendations for the use of isolation and quarantine are an important component of a multi-layered strategy to prevent sustained spread of COVID-19 in New York State.

To date, Lewis County Public Health reports the following number of quarantines, isolations, tests and results for COVID-19 testing and monitoring in Lewis County:

Individuals Under Quarantine – 769

Total Tests Performed– 13,509
Negative Results – 13,356
Pending Results – 6
Confirmed Cases – 147
Hospitalizations – 4
Individuals Recovered – 92
