Lewis County Health System welcomes radiologist Jeffrey D. Way, MD

LOWVILLE, NY  ─  Lewis County Health System is pleased to welcome Jeffrey D. Way, MD, as Chief of Radiology. He will be located on the main hospital campus five days a week.

“Dr. Way brings 37 years of diagnostic radiology experience to our medical imaging (radiology) team,” stated Gerald R. Cayer, Chief Executive Officer at Lewis County Health System. “The breadth and depth of his expertise is an incredible asset to the LCGH medical staff and will further enhance quality care for the patients and residents that we serve. I am excited that Dr. Way is joining our team.”

Dr. Way received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Hahnemann Medical College, Philadelphia, PA, and is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and the American Board of Medical Examiners. He completed his residency at the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD, and his undergrad graduate work at Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA.

His clinical interests include interventional radiology, breast MRI, PET/CT, bone densitometry, and osteoporosis. He is a member of the American College of Radiology, Medical Society of Jefferson County, Jefferson Physicians Organization, New York State Medical Society, American Medical Association, and the Radiological Society of North America.

Dr. Way has teaching experience training medical students and resident physicians in Diagnostic Radiology. He has held numerous leadership and administrative positions. Some of these include Chairman of Radiology Departments at Samaritan Medical Center, Carthage and Lewis County General Hospital, Medical Director of Genesis Health Care, and past Medical Director and President, Northern Radiology Associates, P.C.
