Lewis E. Wescott, 77, Henderson Harbor

HENDERSON HARBOR, NY —  Lewis E. Wescott, 77, of Henderson Harbor, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2020, at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY.

Lewis was born June 4, 1942, in Westfield, MA, the youngest son of James and Addie Mae (Jordan) Wescott.

For many years he was a car salesman in the Westfield, MA, area before relocating to Henderson Harbor, NY.

Lew was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He became a Coast Guard licensed Captain and operated SALMO Charters for 26 years before retiring.

He is survived by his wife, Eunice, of Henderson Harbor, N.Y. and two sons, James T. Wescott of Homosassa, FL.  Todd H. Wescott (Kristen), two daughters, Kecia L. Hague and Kelli L. Dei Dolori (David) all of Southwick, MA; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; a special sister-in-law, Elizabeth “Betty” Wescott, Agawam, MA; and his beloved dog Tootsie.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Esther Griggs, James Wescott, Walter Wescott, Thomas Wescott, Alice Crochetiere and Hazel Armstrong. His eldest brother, Donald, died in infancy.

A memorial service will take place in June.
