Lillian T. Lattimer, 100, Parish

PARISH, NY — Lillian T. Lattimer, 100, Parish, passed away Friday, Feb. 15, at her home under the care of her family and Hospice of CNY.

Lillian was born Aug. 25, 1918, in Belleville, a daughter to James and Anne Tiller.  She was educated at Union Academy Belleville. At age 19, Lillian went to work in the kitchen and dining hall for the General Electric Company on Association Island, Henderson Harbor.  Later in life, she worked in the Snowshoe factory in Pulaski and continued employment with the company when it relocated to Camden, NY.  Lillian worked as a custodian for the Household Finance Company and was a seamstress in Pulaski for many years.

Lillian was a Sunday school teacher at the Park United Methodist Church in Pulaski for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and knitting. She was a member of the Park United Methodist Church in Pulaski for many years and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Pulaski-Puritan Chapter 159 for over 50 years.

Lillian is predeceased by her husband Robert Lattimer, her daughter Lucinda Spicer, her sisters Nellie Burdick, Annie Jennings, Hilda Russell and a brother James Tiller.

She is survived by her great nephew Brandon Hicks, his wife and Lillian’s caregiver Sandy Hicks of Parish; a niece Dora Hicks, Massena; two nephews, James Tiller, Adams; Samual Tiller, West Monroe; a niece, Joanne Meredith, a grandson, Timothy Wheeler Georgia; a son-in-law, James Spicer; three great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.

There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held in the Pulaski Cemetery in the spring.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Lillian’s name to the Park United Methodist Church, 2 Hubble St., Pulaski, NY 13142.
