Lowville man charged with aggravated DWI, speeding in Watertown

WATERTOWN, NY —  William R. Davies, 26, of 7155 Van Dressen Road, Lowville, was charged by Watertown police at 2:43 a.m. Friday, Sept. 4, at 1280 Coffeen St. with aggravated driving while intoxicated, speeding and failure to keep right.

His blood alcohol content was 0.22 percent, police said. A BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI, which carries harsher penalties upon conviction, is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or greater.

He is summoned to appear Oct. 5 in City Court.
