M. “Ann” Albertson, 68, Lowville

LOWVILLE, NY — M. “Ann” Albertson, 68, of Number Four Road, passed away Thursday morning, Aug. 30, 2018,at Lewis County General Hospital.

A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018, at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., with Rev. Mr. Ronald Pominville officiating. Burial will follow in Beaches Bridge Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. A gathering at the Lowville American Legion, 5383 Dayan Street, Lowville, will immediately follow the graveside service. All are welcome.  Any food donations may be taken directly to the Lowville American Legion any time after 1 p.m. Wednesday.

She is survived by two children, a daughter, Tanya Norman of Lowville; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Hannah Albertson of Lowville; five grandchildren, Sadie Norman, Zander Lee Hall, Teya Baldwin, Jordan Albertson, Cassidy Albertson; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, John and Lynda Dailey of Greig, Paul and Linda Dailey of Constableville, Patrick Dailey, Robert “Terry” Dailey of Alabama; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Jack W. Albertson, who passed away on April 14, 2005.

Born Dec. 27, 1949, in Lowville, a daughter of the late John Anthony and Mary Westheim Dailey, she graduated from South Lewis Central School in 1969 and attended Utica School of Commerce. She worked for the Utica Newspapers a clerk/typist.

On October 7, 1972 she married Jack W. Albertson at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Glenfield with Rev. Albert Salmon officiating. She worked for Lowville Journal and Republican.

She raised her family and worked at Lally Manufacturing and other area businesses before going to work for Lewis County DSS as a home health aide. She worked for Lewis County Public Health for 8 years, until her retirement, due to disability. She was proud to be a Hospice Volunteer.

Mrs. Albertson served on the Board of Directors at Lewis County Head Start for several years. She was NYS Topps Queen.

She enjoyed reading, her friends and their visits, old movies, taking rides, and talking about the good old days. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
