Man accused of assaulting Watertown woman, police say

WATERTOWN, NY —  Randy K. Wilmet, 43, of 116 Debra Lane, Buffalo, was charged by Watertown police at 1:53 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, at 110 Creekwood Dr., with misdemeanor counts of third-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief.

Mr. Wilmet is accused of grabbing the right wrist and hand of Patricia A. Hess, 57, and twisted it resulting in her seeking medical treatment at about 1:36 p.m. Tuesday, police said. He also allegedly knocked a cell phone from her hand as she was attempting call 911 for emergency assistance, according to court documents.

He was held for arraignment Tuesday afternoon in City Court.
