Man accused of breaking into vehicle with hammer, stealing items

WATERTOWN, NY —  Bradley A. Brooks, 34, of 19226 US Route 11, last known address, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 9:55 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14, in the 400 block of Arsenal Street with felony counts of fourth-degree grand larceny – credit card and third-degree criminal mischief, and a misdemeanor count of petit larceny.

Mr. Brooks is accused of using a hammer to break the passenger side window of a 2019 Jeep Compass belonging to Nichole Mason, 48, Watertown, and stole a wallet containing a debit card, $50 in cash and two packs of cigarettes at about 3:38 p.m. July 28 at 418 Washington St., according to court documents.

He is summoned to appear Nov. 10 in City Court.
