Man accused of violating order of protection

WATERTOWN, NYAndrew S. Converse, 36, of 24420 Porter Rd., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Aug. 20, at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building with second-degree criminal contempt.

He is accused of violating the terms of a Family Court order of protection when he entered the home of the protected party, Megan L. Converse, and sent her a text message stating “Happy Anniversary,” at about 12:58 p.m. Aug. 16, according to court documents.

He was held for arraignment Monday afternoon in City Court.
