Man allegedly violated order of protection at Watertown restaurant

WATERTOWN, NY — Geoffrey M. Eliopoulos, 42, of 230 Flower Ave W., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 7:41 p.m. Sunday, March 31, at his residence with second-degree criminal contempt.

He is accused of violating the terms of a stay-away order of protection when he confronted and yelled at Liana M. Eliopoulos, 42,  at about 9:45 p.m. March 28 at Fairground Inn, 852 Coffeen St., according to court documents.

He was being held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment Monday morning in City Court.
