Man on stretcher at SMC allegedly cut strap with box cutter, police say

WATERTOWN, NY —  Robert J. Gould, 59, of 24480 State Route 12, Apt. 121, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 8:18 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, at Samaritan Medical Center, with fourth-degree criminal mischief.

Mr. Gould is accused of cutting the shoulder strap to a stretcher belonging to Guilfoyle Ambulance Service with a box cutter as he was strapped to the stretcher in the emergency room at the hospital at about 7:00 p.m. Sunday, police said.

He is summoned to appear Sept. 11 in City Court.
