CARTHAGE, NY — Marcia A. Barrett, 81, a resident at the Carthage Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing passed away Nov. 9, 2018.
Arrangements are with the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home, 117 N. Massey St., Watertown. There will be no calling hours.Â
A Funeral Mass will be said 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov.14, at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.
She was born Sept. 14, 1937, in Watertown, NY, a daughter of Charles and Gertrude (Dyer) Barrett.
She graduated from the NYS School for the Blind in Batavia in 1956. Following school she moved to Syracuse and worked for Nation Wide Insurance Co. for 31 years as a transcriber, retiring in 1995. During that time she enjoyed volunteering in the Syracuse community.
Among her survivors are her sister and a brother-in-law, Catherine C. and Wayne Scott, Millsboro, Delaware; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by a brother, Charles M. Barrett.
