Mark T. Boyle, 78, Henderson

HENDERSON, NY —  Mark T. Boyle, 78, Henderson passed away peacefully Monday, April 6, surrounded by his family at the Samaritan Keep Home, Watertown.

Born May 20, 1941, a son of Edward M. and Mary A. Long Boyle, he graduated from Fayetteville Manlius High School and went onto attend Morrisville College earning a degree in electric engineering.

Mark worked for 30 years at Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. He was one of the original 52 staff that started Nine Mile One Nuclear Plant.

He also owned and operated The Dobson House Bed & Breakfast in Henderson, NY and was a NYS licensed real estate agent for Penny Cool Realty.

He was a commissioned Lay Minister and a member of the Knight of Columbus.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his BMW motorcycle. Together with his wife of 55 years they enjoyed traveling, many years of sailing, taking trips in their RV cross county, and several trips to Europe.

Mark enjoyed family time with his children and grandchildren. He especially enjoyed the time he got to spend with his grandchildren during cousin’s week at his home on Sawyers Bay.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara, Henderson; his children, Susan Boyle, E. Syracuse; Timothy Boyle, Pt. Orchard, WA; Joseph (Catherine) Boyle, Potsdam, NY; eight grandchildren, Mark Boyle, David Boyle, Angela Obernesser, Shannon Boyle, Luke Boyle, Nickolas Obernesser, Erin Boyle, Sean Patrick Boyle; a sister, Maryanne Calvrese; a brother, Michael Boyle; and several nieces and nephews.

Mark was predeceased by his parents and a brother, John.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial and a Celebration of Life at a date and time to be announced.
