LOWVILLE, NY — Markee L. Cathcart, 24, of Lowville, and formerly of Fulton, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020, surrounded by his family at St. Joseph’s hospital in Syracuse.
Born Feb. 16, 1996, in Syracuse, he was raised in Fulton and attended local schools. He earned his associate’s degree in general studies with plans to earn his fitness & performance degree.
He is survived by his mother Carol Cathcart of Lowville, his biological mother Erin of Syracuse, his daughter Sophia Allmon of Phoenix as well as sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his Papa, Eugene Ropelewski, who passed away in July 2012.
Markee enjoyed listening to music, basketball & football the Pittsburgh Steelers being his favorite team. He had a need for and found great comfort and enjoyment working out.
There will be no calling hours or funeral service.
A private celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, gifts or cards a donation in his memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
