WATERTOWN, NY —Â Mary Jean C. Marshall, 92, Watertown, passed away Thursday, Aug. 15, 2019.
Born Jan. 8, 1927, in Watertown, the daughter of Floyd McDonald Cummings and Mary Evelyn Clemo Cummings Doyle, she graduated in 1945 from Schenectady High School.
She married K. Duane Marshall on June 17, 1951, and he passed on November 20, 1979.
She worked for G. E. a short time while in high school. Mary Jean then went on to work for N. Y. Telephone in Schenectady before returning to Watertown and retiring in 1979 from the telephone company.
She is survived by three daughters, Cathy A. (William) Penney, Watertown, Pamela A. (Gerald) Kostyk, Dexter, and Mary A. Thorigal and fiancee Chris Manning, Watertown; three grandchildren, Julie E. and Andrew T. Thorigal and Jillian E. Boyle; a step granddaughter, Keitha Kostyk; five great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Tyler Thorigal, Syracuse; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
As per her wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service. Burial will be at the family’s convenience.
Arrangements are entrusted with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown.
