CANTON, NY — The St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office arrested two subjects after the execution of a search warrant at a Churchill Street address in the Town of Canton on Aug. 5, 2020, at about 4:20pm.
Arrested were Scott Wright age 32 who resided at the Churchill Street address and a Amber Gilmore age 28 from Canton.
Both subjects were arrested for Unlawful Manufacturing of Methamphetamine in the 3rd degree (Class D – felony) and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree (Class A – misdemeanor) .
The arrests stemmed from detectives and deputies locating methamphetamine making materials and approximately half a gram of methamphetamine during the execution of the search warrant.
Both subjects were arraigned virtually in Morristown Town Court where they
were both released. They are both due back in court on a later date.
The St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by members of New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team.
