Metro-Jeff Drug Task Force seizes drugs and cash during raid of Watertown apartment

WATERTOWN, NY —  On this date, at about 6:30 am, members of the Metro-Jeff Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 114 Franklin St., apartment 307, in the City of Watertown. This location has been the focus of an on-going drug investigation and is the residence of Dejaun J. Butler.

Upon entry the residence was found to be occupied by Mr. Bulter. Both he and the residence were secured without incident.

At the conclusion of the search detectives seized approximately 120 grams of suspected cocaine and crack cocaine, $2,230.00 in US currency, items of drug paraphernalia, a digital scale, and packing materials commonly used to package drugs for sale.

As a result, Dejuan J. Butler (age 32, Watertown, NY) was arrested and charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3 rd degree.

Mr. Butler was arraigned in the City of Watertown court by the Honorable Judge Neddo and held based on his prior criminal history.

The Metro-Jeff Drug Task Force was assisted by the Watertown Police SRT, Watertown Police ID and K-9 units, the Jefferson County SERT, and the Neighbors of Watertown.

This is an on-going investigation. Additional charges and arrests are pending.
