CARTHAGE, NY — Michael Francis Stafford, 76, Hindsdale, NH, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, due to injuries suffered in a motor vehicle accident in Chateaugay, NY.Â
Michael was born Nov. 8, 1942, in Astoria, Queens, NY, the eldest son of Francis W. and Ann E. Stafford, Michael grew up in Westchester County, NY.
Soon after starting college, he began part-time work at Barlow Chemical Company, rising quickly into management and to the position of Plant Manager. He later moved to New Hampshire and completed his bachelor’s degree in biology from Keene State College.
Michael is survived by his five siblings and their families, Sarah Derrington of Humbolt, Illinois, Margaret Fisk of Saddle River, New Jersey, Gregory Stafford of Monroe, Maine, Lee Burke of Sarasota, Florida and Frank Stafford of Garrison, NY.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018, at Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc. Michael will be laid to rest in the spring beside his parents in the Fairview Cemetery in Carthage, NY.
