National Grid and Arborcare Tree Service donate a day of tree maintenance in Thompson Park

WATERTOWN, NY —  The City of Watertown is partnering with Arborcare Tree Service and National Grid to celebrate Arbor Day 2020 as both entities donate a “Day of Service” in Thompson Park. Crews will focus primarily on the removal of potentially hazardous branches and limbs from some of the park’s older trees growing along paved walking paths and other high use areas within the park.

Park users should plan for temporary closures of paved walking paths in areas located near and adjacent to the playground, water tower and tennis courts beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 2020 and Tuesday, April 21, 2020. Alternative walking routes will be necessary.
